Why Haku is pretending to be Oshutoru?

This anime has three seasons now. This one we are currently on is the third season.

It has the first season which explains the God.
Second is about Haku, (though Haku is not his real name)

The god in season 1, his name is actually Haku-something. And this guy in second season was nicknamed Haku by Kuon. Kuon comes from the family of the god in season 1.
God is single (No SEX he had in the present). Kuon is the child of a girl in season 1 when that girl asks god for one (I don't want to spoil you about what happens, just go and see)

God over here is not so powerful and all in his human form, but when he transforms, he is too powerful for this anime.This God has a mask on his face, and all these masks you see in season 2 are replicas of his mask. Meaning they are only copies made by scientists. The original mask which is stuck on god's face in the real one and has too much power in it.

Basically, the mask is part of god's full form. A part of his face.

I remember Itsuwari no Kamen was one of my favorite anime, but it's been like 10 years since, I'm kinda lost, should I rewatch it or am I also missing something else? I don't recall all that in the beginning happening. I do recall finding out about the astronaut deal.

Despite my aggravation with the final arc of season 2 due to the changes from the game, this was a great opening episode for season 3. The only thing that would have made it better was if it had Reiji... I noticed a retcon from season 1 and another from season 2 but it seems to be keeping most of the stuff intact. I pray for my enjoyment to continue.

Did anyone else notice that Haku's hairstyle is still the same as it was before? In the VN he changed his hairstyle to be the same as Oshtoru's. Does that mean that the party will notice that "Oshtoru" is Haku or just turn a blind eye for plot?

The twins cast some illusion spell on him to make him look and sound like Oshutoru, you can see it at 03:41. So even if it's his old hairstyle, others see him as Oshutoru
